Hi Brian - really pleased you left a comment (good to meet you on Twitter by the way!)

The Quattroporte is getting a bit old now - it's been out for a while - but I just love it. To think a) it's a Maserati and b) the engine is made in the same factory as the Ferrari 599 (I'm pretty sure!), just makes it an irresistible car when compared to a BMW or Mercedes. I guess the Maserati appeals more to the heart than the brain - like most Italian cars!

I've got to admit I've always thought the front looks a bit odd - but the rear three quarter view I think is gorgeous.

If I could afford to run one as a family car I would - need to wait a while then!

I'd agree that it's definitely a car I'd love to take on a jaunt across the continent. I suspect the fiery red specimen in the background of that video would be brilliant in the south and even more wonderful against a snowy backdrop somewhere in Sweden. I don't know that I would want to own one, as the styling doesn't sub-consciously connect the dots for me, but it would certainly be a grand tour in every sense of the word.
